This is a well-known issue that's been on the rise on recent releases for the PPSSPP emulator now. It is a recurring problem on Android devices. Some PCs may also have this issue. Depends on the device you are using to play the game.
The Problem:
While in the first room of the prologue, the crosshair will not respond to any object, making it so that you can't investigate. You then cannot move on in the game, rendering the game unplayable.
Solutions:
Android:
Solution #1 (Proven to work with PPSSPP version 0.9.1 and older):
*IMPORTANT: This solution will not work with the current PPSSPP version 0.9.6*
1. Go into Settings
2. Go into the Graphics tab
3. Tap the rendering mode setting
4. Change it to Read Framebuffers to Memory (CPU)
5. Play the game
*IMPORTANT: This will slow down your game considerably.*
Solution #2:
1. Go to the ppsspp.ini file in the ppsspp folder. (It is created after running the emulator at least once and closing it)
2. Open it, and set FramebufferstoMem = True and FramebuffersCPUConvert = True
PC:
*It is suggested that you get Razer Game Booster, as this solution will slow down your game (link to download: http://www.razerzone.com/gamebooster)*
1. Go into Game Settings
2. Click on rendering mode
3. Click Framebuffers to Memory
4. Play the Game
*IMPORTANT: This solution may not work with all computers*

ReplyDeleteI opened the ppsspp.ini file, but i didn't find FramebufferstoMem = True and FramebuffersCPUConvert = True. Am I supposed to copy and paste them in? I'm using ppsspp version 1.4-2-g648bc5d.
ReplyDeleteMy recomendation is to download the 1.6.3 PPSSPP version. I did it and neither sound nor object detection has given me any problem so far
